So with the successful launch of the grydscaen tarot Hacker Trading Cards in 2018, we look forward to a new set of cards for 2019. The reception for the Hacker pack cards was overwhelming from ComicCon last month. We will be working on the Affiliate cards this time around. These cards will highlight supporting characters in the series who play a role as counselors to the main cast.
We will be looking to spotlight the following characters in this set:
The object of the grydsaen RPG trading card game is to hack the mainframe if you are playing a hacker in the game or to be the cyber security operatives who will take the hackers down. The main characters like Jester and Jazz can use the hacker skill cards to wage attacks on the mainframe by combining hacker skill cards. The Rom card allows you to form alliances with other hackers to help with your attacks. The Affiliate cards are grouped into two types, the pawns and the soldiers.
Allow the cybersecurity analyst to gain additional skills in their interventions against the hackers. Cards like Riuho, Zoon, Gailen Allred, Anis Renquist, and Gloughster Illian can be used with skill cards and trap cards to enhance skills and give the opponent more power in their attacks. Each card has a doubling capability that allows you to really use your role playing skills as you design your attacks. The Zoon card allows you to bring in a whole slew of operatives and resources on your side on order from the Triumvirate and bring the full force of the government down on the cybersecurity analyst’s side against the hacker.
Allow the hackers an out if they get caught. The Iin, Wraith, Sati Ima and Naito Sennish cards can be used as distraction. Create a plume of fire to distract your opponent so the hacker can flee or use the Iin card to predict the future and fend off an opponent attack. If you need to bring in a hint of crazy, use the Sati Ima card to have him distract and cause chaos in your opponents plans and give the hacker time to solidify and strengthen an attack.
Production on the Affiliate cards will start in or around June 2019 and work will continue throughout 2019 on this set. The Affiliate Booster pack as well as the Hacker Pack of cards will be available from Natsukoarts Design Studio when they are ready.
